Culture contributes to vibrant communities where people want to live, work, and visit. The City of St. Albert’s Cultural Services staff work with artists, audiences, volunteers and other cultural stakeholders to deliver superior events, programs, services and facilities.
The Cultural Services team promotes well-being, creativity, diversity and innovation through diverse social and educational opportunities. We connect to the community through the programming and operation of the Arden Theatre, the International Children’s Festival and St. Albert Children’s Theatre. The Department offers visual and performing arts classes, maintains studio facilities, coordinates the Art in Public Places program and manages projects such as Founders’ Walk.
Cultural Services works collaboratively with the Arts and Heritage Foundation to ensure the provision of the following services: the operation and maintenance of the City’s Heritage Sites, the Art Gallery of St. Albert, the Musée Héritage Museum and the delivery of quality educational programs.
The Cultural Services Department promotes the development of arts and cultural services throughout the community that contribute to the economic and social health of the City of St. Albert.
